Beijing Book Fair 2012 Here We Come!

We are so excited to be a part of the Beijing Book Fair for 2012!! This year it is being held at the 19th Beijing International Book Fair will be held at the China International Exhibition Center (CIEC) from August 29 to September 2, 2012. The exhibition area will cover 53,600 square meters, and the Netherlands will take part as the Country of Honor.

Our books My Super Single Mum, My Two Super Dads and My Super Groovy Gran will be a part of the children’s book zone. The fair will this year expand on last year’s innovative Digital Publishing Zone and will continue to run the Children’s Book, Cartoons & Animation Zone, Periodical Zone, Publishing on Demand Zone and the Rights Center.

This is an exciting opportunity for us as the Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF) has clearly become an important fair to be seen at, particularly if wishing to break ground in the Asia marketplace. We can’t wait to see what happens and share any wonderful outcomes with you.

My Super Groovy Gran – It’s here!!!

We are so excited to announce My Super Groovy Gran is finally here. It’s been a bumper of a year so far with Bronny and Muntsa finally meeting in Spain in April, securing an online distributor and a European agent! More about that in future posts. My Two Dads Melbourne Launch

A big thank you and shout out to Rowland at Hares & Hyena’s for hosting the Melbourne launch of our second release My Two Super Dads. For those that braved the elements and managed to find a car park amidst the Argentinian Festival that was taking place, it was a fun afternoon. Bronny did a reading of the book, whilst guests were treated to yummy festive cupcakes and lamingtons! My Two Super Dads has finally arrived! After a small debacle on the boxes going to the wrong address, they finally made their way to the Bronny and Muntsa head quarters – much to the relief of the girls. This is of course hot on the heels of Federal Finance Minister Penny Wong who has announced she is expecting a child with her partner. There has of course been much debate recently about Labor’s stance on gay marriage. For those of you wishing to support you may like to check out Get Up Australia who have an online petition you may like to sign. As any proud soon to be parent would be Wong and partner are extremely excited. “Like any expecting parents, the prospect of welcoming this child into our lives fills us both with joy,” she said. We can’t wait to send them My Two Super Mums (coming next year) until then it might just have to be a copy of My Two Super Dads a great story of gay parenting.
